Welcome to The India China Newsletter. In this issue, I'll be focusing on the one year anniversary of the June 15, 2020 clash in Galwan Valley, in which 20 Indian soldiers, and at least 4 Chinese soldiers, lost their lives in the worst violence on the border since 1967, and the wide-ranging impact it has had since on India's relations with China, specifically on managing the boundary question and the sharply contrasting views of both sides on the way forward, drawing on some of the many commentaries published both in India and China over the past week. (I'll spend more time on the latter as it's far easier for readers to keep abreast of writings in the Indian press, although I'll flag a couple of pieces that caught my eye.)
